Stones III is a one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture from the Stones collection, shaped through the raw and unpredictable process of pit-firing. The piece is enhanced with cobalt sulfate, copper carbonate, and natural salts, which interact with heat and smoke to produce shifting hues of gray, blue, and green across its surface.

During firing, the work is surrounded by organic materials such as wood chips and sawdust, which burn away and imprint the clay with smoky veils, textures, and subtle traces of combustion. The result is a finish both earthy and ethereal, where accident and intention merge into a singular expression.
