The Re-Fragment ceramic coasters were recognized as finalists in the European Circular Online Museum contest under the “eco-design” category, highlighting their innovation in sustainable ceramic production.

Part of the Re-Fragment Collection, these ceramic earthenware coasters are designed to enhance circularity in ceramic production. The white terrazzo-style surface contains colorful ceramic shards, along with finely powdered and crushed recycled ceramics. Each piece incorporates test tiles, broken ceramics, and discarded fragments that would otherwise go to waste, giving them a second life in a beautifully crafted design.

Each Re-Fragment Coaster is a one-of-a-kind upcycled product, crafted through a meticulous multi-step artisanal process, including:
– Crushing & sieving ceramic waste to create unique textures
– Modeling, drying & sanding for a refined, smooth surface
– Bisque firing at 1000°C, followed by glazing & refiring
– Finished with a thin cork base to protect surfaces from heat and scratches
